driving down property values and costing the city hundreds of millions in tax dollars. it's also more expensive to finance a home this week. according to freddie mac, the average rate on a 30-year fixed loan jumped to 4.46% from 4.29% last week. the rate on a 15-year loan increased to 3.47%. well, brace yourself because milk prices could double next year to $7 a gallon. that's if congress doesn't reach an agreement on a new farm bill by january 1. and it's not just milk we're talking about. we could see higher prices for other dairy products like butter and cheese. at issue is how to restructure subsidies that the government offers farmers. and it turns out it does cost more to eat healthy. researchers at harvard university found a diet rich in fruits, veggies, fish and nuts cost about $550 more per person per year. starting today starbucks is offering a $450 metal gift card for the holidays. it comes preloaded with 400 bucks but you will have to act fast. last year, all 5,000 of the deluxe cards sold out in six minutes. this year starbucks is only offering 1,000. you can't buy them i
